I remember that back around the time that Sonic Unleashed came out, I had this incredibly self-righteous notion that professional reviewers had a tendency to be either biased, incompetant, or both–a gaming-centric version of a teenager’s classic I-Know-Everything-About-The-World phase. I wanted to start my own game-review website with the intent of flying in the face of said bias and incompentence.
I have since grown past that fool notion… but not past the idea of posting game reviews and articles on the Internet. So when a friend of mine complimented my writing and suggested that I contribute to an up-and-coming SEGA fanblog he and a friend had started, I had to jump. And I was right to do so. Not only do I enjoy writing for the site (for what little time I’ve been writing for them, anyway… a grand total of two articles over the course of two or three days), I found myself liking WordPress itself, the web service their site is hosted on. Since SEGA HD is a bit more specific than I am when it comes to content, I figured it only made sense to start my own review blog for reviews I’d like to write that don’t fit with the theme of that site… say, for example, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne or inFAMOUS 2, or perhaps for generic gaming editorials that may not fit in so well, such as my recent monologue on sex appeal not being so goddamn evil after all.
So, there you have it: this is my own cozy, little corner of the Interwebz. I hope you like it, and I hope you find my work both informative and entertaining. Until next time, friends and neighbors, this has been Solaris Paradox, great sage and eminent procrastinator, and I will be your local, geeky gaming blogger for as long as you care enough to keep on readin’.
